Introducing a ‘walk -in’ on the day appointments system. Each day we have one doctor and either one or two nurse practitioners who are available to see patients on the day. This is not necessarily for urgent matters, just a same day service. However we do ask that just one matter is discussed per appointment so as not to hold up other patients waiting. Initially we did experience some long waits but with constant reviews and small changes, we seem to have got it about right according to our patients. We will continue to monitor patient’s views. We have given out questionnaires to patients who have used the service and the response is very positive.
Missed Appointments - Please remember to let us know if you cannot make your appointment so that we can offer it to someone else. You can cancel your appointment on line, even if you did not originally make it on line. However you will need a user name and password from us.
If you need to make an appointment to see a health care professional please call in at reception or telephone between 8.30am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
We aim to offer you an appointment within 24 hours; our team may ask you specific questions so that they can allocate the most appropriate person to deal with you.
For example if you feel very ill you may need to see a doctor during that day, alternatively for less urgent appointments you may be given an appointment within the next couple of days at a time that is convenient to you.
